Welcome the longest day of the year!
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice begins on June 21, 2009 at 1:45 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time. That would be 10:45 p.m. for the folks on the West coast, 12:45 p.m. in Houston.
